Gunsmithing Nylon mesh tube to wrap a barrel before painting?

I had an AR barrel arrive once wrapped in a tight-fitting nylon diamond mesh "sheath" or tube...
I'm getting ready to paint another barrel and thought this would give me the pattern I'm looking for on the barrel.

I've got no idea where to look for one. Anyone know what I'm talking about, and where to get one?

Kreiger ships their barrels in these. Might sell you one.
