It looks like several people know allot about OCW testing on this forum so I figure I would post one from this morning and get yall's opinion. I have a for fun 300 yard f/class match this Saturday and will further test these loads then. From the test this morning it appears I have nodes at 44.8-45.2 and 46-46.4 and scatter nodes at 44.4 and 45.6. These actually follow the 3% and 1% rules in the OCW method pretty closely. I was thinking of loading 44.8, 45.0, and 46.2 for the 3 rounds of the match for Saturday. This is with a 24" MTU contour Obermeyer barreled 308, lapua brass, Varget and 155 amax's.

As I don't know a lot about OCW in general, if I were shooting in a fpr match I'd go with the 45.2 charge. Like I said I don't do load development that way but generally speaking that's a perfect weight. Not too hot and not too mild. Isn't one part of the OCW tests to find a load that won't build up too much pressure when things heat up??? Really just asking. Curious. But any who ... Good luck
