It happens.
If it's way off to the side, it might not be too kosher, but if it's only a tad off center, I wouldn't worry about it.
Too many other things will come into play.

It happens.
If it's way off to the side, it might not be too kosher, but if it's only a tad off center, I wouldn't worry about it.
Too many other things will come into play.

Have you ever looked at the flash holes in Winchester brass?
The flash holes in that stuff is all kinds of messed up. Oblong holes, burrs, some holes are almost double punched. That stuff, when looking at the flash holes, is a mess but in my .223 as bad as the Winchester brass is it doesn't shoot a bit better than when I use Lapua brass. The difference is I can't wear the Lapua out.

If they are bad off center I set them aside for 200 yards. The center ones I set them aside for 600 and beyond.
Now if you striker indent is off center you have an indication of out of square receiver face and/or crooked threads in the action.
Ideally a properly made action (for best accuracy, not just something to make loaded rounds empty) you want your striker hitting as close to dead center on the primer as possible.
Industry standards recommend no more that one half the diameter of the striker offset. It is rare to find a rifle with a large offset that shoots really well.
There is quite an industry in truing actions or "blueprinting" them. Get Hinnant's book on Precison Rifle Barrel Fitting to read about it or go to http://www.bryantcustom.com/articles/true.htm to see pictures of how it is done.
Then there are the custom actions that are machined to much closer tolerances that will give you dead center hits right off.
If they are bad off center I set them aside for 200 yards. The center ones I set them aside for 600 and beyond.
