Not going to link a Fox News story, but Gov. Stitt just signed a bill banning critical race theory BS from being taught in public schools.

That's four great bills in the past couple of weeks (2A sanctuary state, can run over rioters threatening you [extremely condensed], churches can't be closed due to COVID bullshit, and now this).

We may be a bunch of poors, but at least we're headed in the right direction for a few more years.

Kind of makes me want to move back to OK.
I am giving this exact thing some real serious thought.
I'd be about 18 hours closer to work.
Real estate here has skyrocketed in value, I could sell my house for about twice what I paid for it.
I found 125 +/- acres near the town where my mom and dad hooked up and I still have family.
Not a single county in OK was blue this last round, not even Tulsa County or Oklahoma County.
Those 125 acres....I could get in almost a mile of range. That's about 1.6 km for all you commies using MILS .

You better hurry up. The great Texas exodus has land values skyrocketing over here too. Give it five years and you won't be able to run enough cattle on whatever you buy to pay the note.

On the one hand I don't like the idea of banning "ideas". On the Other Had CRT is a blight upon modern thought. It promotes "stories" and "narratives" over facts and reason.

How do I sleep at night with this terrible libertarian conundrum? Well since the state is in charge of curriculum, its just setting curriculum. It makes me feel a little better.

The first time some piece of shit liberal scumbag teacher tells my son he’s less deserving because of his gender, skin color, religion etc, they’ll find out what privilege is, they’ll have the privilege of spitting teeth, and if it’s a woman, my wife will do it.
If anybody is less deserving of things in life, it’s because they didn’t work for it, it ain’t because of their skin color, or the neighborhood they grew up in, there is no other country in the world where one race has achieved so much in less time, from slave to multi billionaires in three generations, so anyone who thinks this crt shit is good can eat a giant bag of dicks!
The worth of a man is not in his skin but in his actions, don’t want to get treated like a piece of shit, don’t be one....

    Definition of theory

1: a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena //the wave theory of light
2a: a belief, policy, or procedure proposed or followed as the basis of action //her method is based on the theory that all children want to learn
b: an ideal or hypothetical set of facts, principles, or circumstances —often used in the phrase in theory //in theory, we have always advocated freedom for all
3a: a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation
    b: an unproved assumption :
    CONJECTURE
c: a body of theorems presenting a concise systematic view of a subject //theory of equations
4: the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art //music theory
    5: abstract thought : SPECULATION
6: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another

Let me put on my scientist hat for a second and actual show how other disciplines hijack language.

Let's take something very non-controversial. The "Theory of Special Relativity" Notice we still call it a theory. While it was hotly debated when introduced, any self-respecting physicist (aka someone who has studied it intentenly) would described the "Theory of Special Relativity" as more appropriately the "Laws of Special Relativity". They are well established theoretically AND experimental. But we still call it the "Theory of Special Relativity" Anyone who says the theory of speical relativity is just a theory would be laughed off the stage. Its a law. And we can show you. (unless of course you put your head in the sand).

Look at math. Theorms are in fact things that are proven by deductive or inductive reasoning. Theorems are not generally disproved unless one of their axioms or assumptions are wrong (or the more common case, someone screwed up the logic).

Well along comes social science. They want to run with the big boys. That want to have theories and laws as well. The problem with social science is it is very tough to run an experiment. I can measure the speed of light. I can measure does a beam of light have wave-like or particle like properties (it has both).

    How do you measure justice

We can't even define what justice is!

But now they put out things like "Critical Legal Theory" (The forerunner to CRT). And try to hijack the language of Chemisty, Physics, and Math saying "Well Special Relativity is just a Theory" or "The Bohr Model of the Atom is a Theory"

Those theories were testable and measurable. The Bohr Theory was "disproven" (better to say "improved") or refined because we could actually measure its properties. How do you measure "Critical Race Theory"? The factual basis is no different than if we got drunk and decided that whoever should be in charge is the guy with the smallest penis (All hail DocRDS!) If you think this is an exaggeration look at the history of CRT:
Marx: All of history is a struggle between the properties owners and the non-property oweners
Critical Legal Theory: All of history is a struggle between those in power and those out of power
CRT: All of history is a struggle between race.
Me: FFS STOP IT BEFORE YOU ASSHOLES KILL ANOTHER 100 MILLION.

If you ask me what is a "meter" I can give you a definition that is immutable. You and I can both agree and measure it. Lets say you are a 'Murica fan and want to use the foot cause there are two types of people: Metric Users and People Who landed on the moon. I can actually convert from my meter to your foot. Exactly. As in 0 Error. We all use the same system. So even if yo use the foot, I can covert to the meter, and we do not disagree. (1 inch is 2.54 cm EXACTLY btw for those interested--yes the inch is defined in terms of the metric system)

    Try that with CRT.
    Define "Justice"
    Define "Race"
    Define "Systematic"

There are strong arguments from economists that they are not a science, and the nobel prize should be disestablished. At least they are self aware. Ever ask yourself "Where is the Science prize for Socialogy?" "Where is the Science Prize for Psychology" "Where is the Prize for Legal Scholarship" They need to stop hijacking the language of science and mathematics because they intentionally use it to mislead the public. "CRT is no different than the Theory of Evolution" Even if you dislike evolution, Evolution can be measured (change, adaptations, genetics)....

And if you want an experiment in marxism:
Soviet Union: Is that what you want?
China (PRC): Is that what you want?
    Cuba:
    Venezuela:
Now we want to remake USA and Europe, but instead of Marxism, lets just make it about race. Yeah that will end well.

WHile I am not in favor of banning CRT (because I studied my classical history and that always ends badly) I do think we need to stop cowtowing and mock them mercilessly as they deserve. We are too accommodating.

    /end rant
