I have just aquired a 50 bmg identified as being from McBros. here is a pictere of it. I am having no luck in tracing its origions. Jim Schmidt at Arizona Amunition tried but didnt come up with anything solid. the action is marked McBros, the brake is a mystery, the barrel is reportedly a Walther 36" 1-15. It is a single shot "shell holder" action. It came with a custom sizing die made for this chamber and lots (250 pounds) of extras including powder, primers, brass and full set of loading tools. I am trying to trace its history and origions to decide if it is worth restoring and tuning it. Supposedly less than 100 rounds thru the barrel. Any help in tracing its history would be appreciated.

The range report will have to wait till weather cools down in the west texas desert. AND until recover from my broken shoulder from a fall last week. Thank God it was my left shoulder and I am right handed. But its the most painfull thing I have ever endured in 85 years.
