Rifle Scopes Old Realist Camputer Scopes?

I am having a hard time finding much about these. Funky looking thing, weird base. Supposedly some were used in Vietnam? Anyone know anything about these? Which models was used in Nam, on what gun?

Some kind of built in range finder?

The M21 was used with The leatherwood ART 2, Though not exclusivly.

Fore runners of the Art's, ranging was two stadium lines. A few 6X's could be found on a few NM M14's. More of them could be found in country's other than V/N as well.

At a gun show in Bhm Al. last Jan. there was one for sale. $650.00 sticks in my mind. Nothing special in today's world, back then it was a different story.

Search Lt. James Leatherwood as those scopes were known as the, Leatherwood Realist.
