Re: Older Leupy MK4's...
I have a MK4 M1 10X Fixed Power that I bought used about 5 years ago. It didn't have a mark on it and I paid around $800 for it. I have found it to be very simple and very dependable. I haven't shot it beyond 500 yards but at ranges out to 500 hundred it has kept the same zero it had the day I sighted it in and the glass is excellent. Took it out the other day and for grins put up a silhouette at 500 yards. I dialed up my previous 500 yard setting, doped the wind and made the windage adjustment. Fired one round, cold bore, at the head. Couldn't find the bullet due to a bit of mirage but the trace had looked good so I fired another round at a six inch steel plate at 500 to check the zero. The round impacted the plate dead center. Fired one more round at a 3 inch steel plate at 500. The bullet impacted the plate 1 inch high at 12 o'clock. Set the scope back to 100 yards and fired one round which impacted the bull dead center. My point is that in the 5 years I have owned the scope this is the performance I have gotten from it every time I have used it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. BTW when we went down range to check targets and repaint the steel plates, we looked at the silhouette and there was a .308 hole centered up on the head.
