I have a pair of PVS 14s from my contracting days 2010-2013 that the image intensifier has burned out and I haven't used them in probably 8 years. (Disclaimer) the Army refurbished them both when we took incoming one night (2011ish) and they stopped working. So I have USGI maked parts on them. My question is should I just buy new NV optics or spend the money for a new image intensifier? If I'm buying new ones, what should I do with the old ones (besides trash them)?

Hell, even keep your eyes peeled on eBay for a used one. They ain’t that hard to change or send out for purging.

Didn’t there used to be another fella round here that did NV? I can’t remember his username, but he used to post ads all the time for stuff

New white phosphor 3rd gen tubes are going to be pretty expensive- starting at over $2K for a decent grade of tube- just the tube.

Is your 14 housing the old skewl dual battery or just 1 AA?

If your tube died, that's going to be 90% of the cost of a new system.

We have about 250 11769 format tubes in stock currently, if you need to buy a tube reach out and we can get you one immediately.
