Gunsmithing Omni muzzle brake torquing

I recently bought a Bergara HMR that came with an omnidirectional muzzle brake. When I picked up the rifle the muzzle brake was screwed on but loose. Bergara literature says hand tight and then "use a wrench to torque the muzzle brake just past the point of being able to remove it by hand."

I have a couple of issues here. First off, the brake doesn't have any flats so a strap wrench, pipe wrench with some sort of buffer material, or a spanner using the brake holes are the only ideas I have for putting a wrench on it. Second, the torque spec seems vauge at best. Hoping that someone with a little bit of experience here can provide some more thorough guidance before I just throw a pipe wrench on it until my elbow clicks.

Tighten it hand tight, then use the spanner-in-hole (or screwdriver through holes depending on the design) to turn it another 10-15 degrees, and that should be fine. It doesn’t matter very much as long as it’s not rattling around or flying off.

View this as an opportunity to replace the radial brake with something with side ports that won't kick up a cloud of dirt when you're shooting prone.

Tried that and marked it, no movement through an afternoon of shooting so we'll call it good.
