Re: ? on muzzle brake or flash hider
Everything I've learned on brakes is that there isn't any affect on bullet accuracy, other then the reduction of recoil. The inside diameter of the brake is oversized in comparison to the bullet diameter. On my 6.8 AR, I was told to simply use a .308 and that the oversize diameter wouldn't have positive or negative affect on the flight of the bullet. While I did drill and then ream a .223 brake to a closer fit.
My current build a 6.5 Creedmoor R700 the Bastard brake is in .308. In questioning about id, I was told almost the same exact info. I hope all is correct because the Bastard brake needs to be index which is being done presently.
