On The Lighter Side Of News.....Karmelo Anthony Indicted

I notice that the commies in NY did not mention anything about the Metcalf family getting swatted a number of times.

This was not self-defense. He was stabby punk sitting under the tent of the opposing team. And for what reason other than to act entitled and stir up shit. And he did. And admitted to cops. "No alleged - I did it."

Really hope this trial gets live streamed because I keep hearing different stories of what happened. First I hear that Metcalf caught Anthony in the tent where all the track stars had their belongings and Anthony was rummaging through their stuff with his backpack opened. Now I'm hearing they were fighting over a seat. Either story doesn't warrant a legit case of self-defense. And we all know that Anthony's legal team is gonna make this all about race. Hopefully black fatigue has set in with the jurors who get chosen and they can make the right choice.

Glad I did a quick check first before DUPING this topic. :ROFLMAO:

About fucking time common sense prevailed. If "self defense" had even been considered a valid option by the court/jury in this case, then we might as well not prosecute nutcases who try to open the emergency doors on airliners in flight either.

I bet this had something to do with the 1st Degree charge….

That's actually a good move to not release it and potentially taint the jury with video edits. The reason why the cops who beat Rodney King got off was because the video that was publicly circulating had the first few seconds of the video removed which was the key reason why the beating started. The jurors never seen that part until trial and therefore resulted in acquittal.

Bet it gets plead down to manslaughter, with a 7 yr sentence, just to appease the BLM crowd.

Nah, he already admitted to stabbing the guy on purpose. If he would have said he tripped while holding the knife and accidentally fell and stabbed Metcalf, then yeah, that could be manslaughter. The weakest charge he could be convicted of would be unintentional homicide which is like 15-20 years.

That motherfucker stuck a 16 inch butcher blade naked right into his backpack and went off to the athletic meet. If that ain't the peak definition of SUS, I don't know what is. It is absolutely bizarre behavior, and points out that he had went out that day with clear intent to commit a violent act. That ALONE proves his intent to injure/kill.

He was also kicked out of school previously for bringing a knife. Oh and the tent he was "mistakenly" in also happened to have all the cell phones for the players in it. According to one of the students interviewed

So, unfortunately, I believe they will have to have aggravated murder to get the death penalty. If they can prove that he was stealing while murdering, or some other Amish activity, maybe they can make it a death penalty case. Seems like bringing the weapon onto school property would be enough, but time will tell.

They got a Murder 1 charge on the indictment, not an aggravated/capital murder charge so the death penalty is likely off the table. I dont think this case complies with state law on aggravated/capital murder. Texas has pretty clear cut "aggravated/capital murder" language and I dont think this one complies with any of them, hence the indictment being murder 1. Only one I can see is MAYBE the murder of a child as the victim was 17 and "legally" a child, but it doesnt sound like the prosecutor thought he would get so didnt go after it.

Beyond Aggravated/Capital murder, once you go down the line of aggravated in Texas it basically only ensures you serve at least half the sentence before being eligible for parole. Friend of mine's son was killed in Dallas and the guy was found guilty of aggravated manslaughter with a 25 year sentence. Has to serve 12.5 of that before eligible for parole. He will likely serve 15-17 years with how the Texas prison system works and thats if he is an angel the whole time in prison...

I am GUESSING this one goes to a conviction or more likely a plea just prior to jury returning to the box... Murder 1 is a 5-99 in Texas and if it seems like its not going their way I would guess a plea to guarantee something in the lower range of prison time.

With all the donated money they will probably hire a very good law firm to go up against a government prosecutor .....well if there is enough money left after splurging on caddys, houses, clothes ,newports . I bet no plea deal is accepted either .
I saw the defense attorney on TV this morning spouting the self defense defense. They need a very gullible jury to buy off on that. Again, I don't think they will find that in Collin County but who knows.

Be the wrong place to start one. I expect they are trying to play the race card to get this moved to Dallas County. They don't want him being tried in Collin County.

I dont THINK they can do that in Texas... As far as I know almost all City's, if they have a felony case it automatically goes to the County and the county tries it. IF the County grand jury is who brought the indictment it will stay and be tried in Collin County. My county on the south side of Dallas only has 1 felony court and a single judge responsible for it, but I am sure any of the other 5 or 6 county judges could preside if they needed to if the judge needed to recuse themselves. Each judge in our county(and im guessing a lot of others) are responsible for one area, maybe 2 because the way each of those courts are run is pretty specialized. I dont think I would want the judge responsible for the traffic ticket court to preside over my murder trial... Or the divorce/family court judge for that matter either. Doesnt make them bad judges, just that they might not have the depth of knowledge needed to run a murder trial. Same as I dont know that I would want the felony court judge running the traffic ticket court.
