Gave meself a trip to Wild Hill Preserve in VT for my 70th BD. Nice place, they have 2000 acres+ inside the fence. My 45-100 self built Double Rifle hit like The Fist of God at about 40 yds. Hey, my old eyes needed that range to hit with the open sights, and he was still comin up the trail, so I waited till he turned broadside. Bill said a few weeks ago, some guy showed up with a 30-378, and wanted to shoot a red deer at 1000 yds+. They set up a target, so the guy could prove he could hit at 1000, and the stag was taken at 1200, using a laser RF, and pocket ballistic calculator. Somebody from SH???? Sign this guy up!!
