as of recent ive been doing a lot of buisness shipping powders and primers. my local shop charges me a fee to use them to ship. i was wondering where might i go online that is legit to obtain my hazmat shipping certification for ground shipping?

yes i know its like 300-500. but im already nearing that in fees to my local shop to use them to ship. so i might as well just pony up the cash and get my own certification

Here are some places that offer online cert training.

But… just having the cert isn’t the whole story. How independent you plan to be affects how much more expense you take on for yourself. Study 49 CFR codes to learn the difference between package/labeling certification versus shipping liability insurance and licensing.

I appreciate the response. I’m not trying to do anything super crazy. But I’ve been moving a lot of powder and primers. Tired of having to go to someone else to ship.
I’d just be shipping in the continental US

Just do me a favor and make sure you understand what you are getting into and do not assume anything in the Federal Codes is common sense or fair.
Getting caught moving HAZ the wrong way, or without your ducks in a row is no joke. Here is just a snippet of what it could do to you and your family, so play it straight. The lawyers and lost time would be on top of everything below.
