Lee... I haven't met a coyote yet that could argue about getting shot with my 6x47 L or my 243AI. Both are great rounds and both will kill coyotes farther than you should be shooing at coyotes anyhow...

6x47L will go 3200 - 3250 with the 115 DTACS here. (4800asl)

I run um at 3040fps though...
