Re: opinions on trans am concept..

Looks like a few stickers differant than a Camaro! Cant wait to see all the d'bags driving them in the snow at 25mph, hazzards flashing in the left lane, from Nov-apr.!!!!!!!!

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

After viewing (twice) a documentary depicting the new manufacturing facility intended to produce the Camaro, I think the vehicle is grossly overpriced, and that the purchaser is being heavily burdened with excess costs to bail out GM's investment in the plant.

The Trans Am is simply another Camaro with a few sheet metal and trim tweaks.

It comes as no surprise that Detroit has financial shortcomings; being overly invested in old, irrelevant designs and technology, and grossly overpricing anything with any genuine novelty and relevance.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. So true!

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

I like the new camaro. That trans am sucks. At least they could put more effort into it other then sticking a old scope on it, some decal and a goofy grill. Lame.

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

A Camaro with a shaker and ground effects... Not good. I've had a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen F-bodys and the 4th Gen was a signed and numbered SS #2616 from SLP and it was the crappiest one out of all of them. GM blows and after owning 13 Gm cars I can honestly say I will never by GM again.

Now I have Nissan and a F-350 Turbo Diesel.

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

after all the opinions i have come to the conclusion that i am a ta guy but an older ta guy seeing that car just made me think of the older tas that i loved so much. But it is a fucked over camaro and i dont like the camaros not much for mustangs either but they didnt have to have their asses bailed out so now i have a ford fusion and a merc. mountiner ha.

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

That's just a Camaro with an eagle painted on it, price jacked up $10,000 more.

F GM...shoulda let them tank.

No Ford fan but at least they put some time and effort into the Mustang and I WOULD own one of those....

LOL, now that's gay....

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

I'm a HUGE fan of the 70's Trans Ams. My car I'm buying myself as a college grad present is a '76 Trans Am with a 6.6 455 HO motor. Always been my dream car. The new ones...I'm kind of "eh" over. They look too much like a rehashed Camaro than a Trans Am.

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

The 4th gen was the best IMO. If they were to ever do a new TA they should do it like they did in the 60's and 70's. Build it form the ground up and take no styling from the Camaro. Even though he was a coke head, John Delorean was a master at designing cars, and did it HIS way.

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

I have to admit, having seen the behind the scenes video on the mustang and how it was created - it's a good car.

It's the ONLY American car I'd even CONSIDER buying, all o thers are crap.

I did a brake job for one of my sensei's not too long back on a mid 2000's Chevy and sliced my hand on teh sharp ass sheet metal fender supports, WTF??? Don't see those on Foreign cars...

I had a Ford once and they F'd me with a lemon, never again...

Re: opinions on trans am concept..

OK Wait I lied - in 1977 Chevy made the Monza, a crapper really but if you put the 350 in it, holy smokes.
There is one in a guys backyard up hte road, thinking of offering him a few bucks for it and running with it:

Forget the new crap..go with old...:)
