Middle 'Merica!
After agonizing over optic choices for my HK MR762, I've decided to do with a medium power scope to give me a bit more flexibility with the rifle for other purposes, while still giving me enough power to reach out and touch targets out at/around 500, 600, 700 yards, etc. So, I opted for the Nightforce 2.5-10.

QUESTION:
Should my mount be a certain height, or should I get it with a MOA cant built in?

I'm looking at the Geissele Super Precision SR-25 made specifically for the AR-10 platform and longer receiver rail...

What do you guys think? I want to use a unimount that I can remove, again, for the widest range of uses for/with the rifle.

My shooting will be 75% of the time at steel torso sized targets and closer in on paper, etc.

Thanks for any advice/thoughts.

If you want to go on the "cheap" you can use a Larue LT-104 or American defense, recon. I've used the LT-104 on my 308's (gassers). AMD recon too. My brother is gonna stick a Spuhr 4616 on his MR762 (34mm tube 6mil, cantilever), but that's not a quick detach system.

Out to 700, you shouldn't need much built in elevation in the mount. That NF has about 14 usable mils of elevation in the turret, so as long as you aren't trying to sling 168gr bullets 1000 yards, you should be fine with whatever heigh makes it comfortable for you to shoot. Even then, you can hold over the extra elevation.

I chose the ARC unimount with 20 moa built in. I have no problem dialing out to 1000 with my TT 3-15.
