Rifle Scopes Optimal magnification question

Hey all,

I have a dilemma; which scope to leave on my rifle. I have two of the same scopes, one in 3-15x, the other in 5-25x.

I have a 6.5CR which will go into the Pro 700 chassis this week and I’m not sure which scope to leave on this rifle. This will be my general purpose hunting (mostly inside 400), target, and some competition.

Currently the 5-25x in installed and it’s nice for load development at 100, and I do shoot out to 1000 often. That said, I’m leaning towards putting the shorter and a bit lighter 3-15x on instead.

Any thoughts?

For an inside 400 hunting rifle the 3-15 makes more sense

Sounds like the perfect reason to buy a new home for that 5-25 lol

So if both scopes are in mounts and have been zeroed, why not just switch 'em out per your changing requirements?

Both are in vortex rings, leveled, ride nicely on BO rails on the pair of R700s, 6.5CR and 300WM. Swap and re-zero should be simple.
