Got myself a Savage 111 in 30-06, shoots pretty well, and I like the massive rubber pad on the factory stock, but am looking to improve upon my gun. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What's your intended purpose for the rifle? That would dictate what type of improvements you should make. If you have an older 111 then the very first thing would be to upgrade the flimsy tupperware stock, however the newer accu stock seems to do ok. After that I'd look at the trigger, but intended purpose would drive that choice.

its a brand new (with 25 rnds through it)
