Looked around but couldn't find a straight answer. Would a Proof prefit barrel for /Zermatt-BigHorn TL3/SL3 work on an Origin action ? Thanks

Thanks a lot. Would it be a problem the fact that the HLR recoil lug is .100" thinner?

That .1 thinner is exactly why it’s required.

The tl3 short action tenon is .1 shorter than all of zermatts other offerings because of the aw mag cut option.

If you want to use a short action tl3 barrel in an origin you need the thin lug.

Ill add that when you use the HLR lug, the index of the barrel will be off. So the etched markings near the breech will be dicked up.
Talking as a true OCD... 😂 But someone who knows his shit...

Seriously, thanks a lot gentlemen.

This shouldn't be true if the lug is .150" exactly.

At 20 TPI, .100"(amount of material removed) = 2 complete revolutions.
I have two more to put together in the coming week and i’ll take pics. None of the half dozen or so to date have indexed properly. Headspace is dead on though.

I just bought an origin and TL3 proof barrel with the HLR recoil lug. Just waiting to be delivered. Will see how mine turns out.

My personal origin was all lonely, so here it is with two customer prefits. Unmodified proof TL3 prefit on an Origin with a HLR lug. Fully seated but not torqued. Note the different serial numbers on the barrels.
