How can I tell if I have a MOA or MIL reticle dot scope?

Here is a picture looking at a feeder with my scope. The feeder was ranged at 418 yards right beside the scope. The scope is also a SFP and adjusted on 10x magnification. The cosine of the angle is about 2 degrees downhill to the feeder. Is there a certain way it can be figured out by the info I just gave you?

Zeiss make the scope. It is a conquest 4.5x14x44

A guy told me today that sometime you think you might have a MIL scope and it will actually be a MOA scope.

A quick search will show Zeiss doesn't make an MOA reticle you're guy has no clue.

so in other words I need to get mil turrets to match the reticle?

Better yet.... I'm just going to call SWFA tomorrow and see if they will let me trade in the conquest plus some cash for a nice FFP scope that is mil/mil.

The other side of that coin is running what you have rather than chasing gear . I have been guilty of chasing gear for quite some time and have decided that what I currently own is what I am gonna shoot for the next year without changing anything .I haven't practiced enough with the gear I have to realize any benefits from changing my setup yet again .

I believe the Mil/Mil or MOA/MOA to be a better mousetrap but had my best finish ever at a match shooting an old Varmint rifle using a 6-18X40 Leupold with a duplex reticle and target knobs . It was a setup that I had been shooting for 4 years and was intimately familiar with and theres a lot to be said for that .
