I've been following the story of Adam Gadahn aka Azzam Al-Amriki since I read about him in the New Yorker. Very interesting case. He grew up in Menifee/Hemet area of Riverside County,CA. That alone is enough to drive one to insanity.
I showed a few videos of him to my girlfriend this morning when I read the breaking story. She said he speaks Arabic better than she does and she grew up speaking it.
On that note, as someone taking an Arabic course, I find it amazing what one can do when they put their mind to it and immerse themselves in the culture. Fortunately, I do not want to learn it bad enough to move to Pakistan, nor do I believe that Mohammed is Allah's prophet. lol

On a separate note, I'm glad he's caught, this is the type of extremist that is most dangerous - a true cross-culture specimen that doesn't 'look' like the enemy - if he shaved and stopped wearing the sheets.

Hopefully Pakistan handles his execution and we don't have to deal with the inevitable grandstanding by frequent domestic opportunists such as the ACLU and other fame seeking lawyers, truthers, Whack job islamists, Rosie O'Donnell, etc...
Better if he is executed by the people who captured him as I doubt he will be here. Johnnie "Taliban" Walker Linde is up for parole soon. Any reason to believe this asshole will not be equally embraced by the sophisticated leftwing legal establisment?
