Range Report Palm help needed

Hi, I have a M500 palm pilot.
I have all my data saved on my palm. But when the battery dies, I lose everything. So, I installed everything on a SD card.

I have dope stored on a notepad file, pesja ballistics program etc... I lose it all and need to hot sync to get it back. Not fun when you are not near a puter.

I am unable to access the stuff on the SD card and transfer it to the palm.

Do I need a program to allow me to access the card?
