What seems to be the chain of events:
- Some 'friend' of his told on him that he had 30 round mags. Not sure why.
- CPS comes to house and threatens wife and child to give him up
- Wife/kid bail to get away from CPS/state threats
- Cops show up today. Not even sure if they have a warrant.
- He stays in the house and is like fuck this, but is relatively cool along the way making posts on IG about him being unarmed, but letting people know whats happening
- People start showing up at the house. Now there are reports there are a group of more than 50 staging somewhere and an initial staging area was 'raided' by police and arrests made.
- More people are coming as police are broadcasting the situation is over to attempt to keep them from coming
- All LEO comms are now switched to encrypted comms

Anyone thats there needs to put a SOP together of getting all the officers' name/badge number and keeping track. Note what equipment they have access to, how they set the perimeter, where they put the CS, how many officers are there and how are they stationed, what comms are they using, what frequencies and how do they communicate. How many mags do they carry, do they have NV equipment on them, etc.
Right now there are reports the 911 channels are being flooded. Would be great intel to see what happens if you call 911 to report a crime taking place; do they send people? What happens? Bomb threat at city hall...does anyone go? Do they even know?
The 911 flood trick would be a fantastic way to spread them out prior to an assault.

Other thing to note was, this took what, 8+ hours and an entire police force? For 1 guy? And it wasn't even a planned 'resistance'.

eta - The only thing the police can do going forward in the same situation is either use excessive force/escalate very quickly or do nothing and leave it alone. The escalation, and all of the bad press/bad outcomes that come along with it are exactly the tinder that grows an insurgency. Remember, all an insurgency has to do to win, is to not be destroyed. I don't see most ban states/ban beareaucrats wanting to just forget about enforcing their bullshit laws, so we all know which direction that goes once it starts; they wont be doing themselves any favors and will end up scratching their heads and wondering why 50 insurgents turned into 1500 because they thought they 'were winning' - you know, just like Iraq.

I recall someone who likes being prepared suggesting that friends have regular daily check ins and if someone misses them, time to send a group of minutemen over to make sure they are safe and don't need any assistance.
I'm guessing next time they'll try to cut off power & possibly phones / internet?
Then up their game to cell phone jammers?

I've considered getting a surplus radio, PRC-77 or the British equivalent or something similar, for emergency communication if a hurricane hit and cells/land lines weren't functioning. Flaregun or signal rockets seems like a pretty good idea too, provided your friends/family were within spotting distance. And I expect they'd work well in a situation like this.
Of course, it seems it was a "friend" of his who sold him out, so if someone snitches on your system, that'd bollox it all up.

Hard to say what is going on. Id take everything with a grain of salt. I’m also seeing reports that it’s not over and that he is still in his house. Blah blah. I can tell you that the news side if things makes the least sense and certainly seems like they are covering their ass with some BS. The fact remains that if any of this is true and that if this is all over some damn magazines that you should be prepared as The German has said and be prepared to be wrecked because they will pull out all stops to criminalize you to justify their wrongdoing.
