Quick story:

I was just getting a burger at Mcdonalds, pulled up to pay for my order and found out the woman in front of me had paid for my order. The drive thru attendant told me she took care of it and said to pay it forward. This is a first for me, but really cool! Very kind gesture on her part, something as simple as a meal paid for totally changed my thought process. Flipped my mood instantly and made me think that whatever small shit I had to complain about was insignificant. I wish I had a chance to thank her before she drove off, to let her know it was more than a free meal she dished out.

Anyone else have any similar experiences?

My wife and I always have Friday date night. Just us time. We like picking up the tab for older couples. We try to leave before they find out. The one time we got busted, the little old lady came up to us crying and so happy that complete strangers would do that for them.

I had that happen to me driving onto Pensacola Beach a couple years back. It cost a dollar to enter the beach. I pulled up and the attendant told me that the car in front of me paid for me. Granted, it was only a dollar, but it still took me by surprise, and pleasant surprise. I returned the favor the next day, paying for the person behind me.

Went to my local hardware store for some ammo in a pinch and I realized the kid only charged me for one box instead of two. Was about a $30 mistake but I felt guilty not paying for it. Also didn't want him to get fired. Stopped back a couple weeks later when I was picking up some stuff. When I explained to the cashier she looked at me like I had made a 747 disappear. Thanked me for my honesty. Maybe not a pay it forward story but maybe she learned something too.
