peltor comtac PTT question

just got a good deal on a pair of comtacs. came with MBITR ptt cable. is there any way for a novice to build an adapter for this ptt to fit a motorola ht1000? i cant find one commercially available besides buying a new motorola PTT cable.

any suggestions?

I have the same issue. Talked to TCI about it. They said an adapter was a no go. Incompatible due to different impedence.

i figured as much. looks like im gonna have to get a motorola cable
peltor told me brock sales might be able to make a custom adapter, but sort of eluded to the cost of the custom adapter being almost as much as the peltor ptt cable

Dan Brock is a good guy to check with on this. I'll bet you could turn around and sell your PTT on Ebay and then buy the correct PTT from Brock for less than trying to fix the one you have.
