Hey guys, I have an opportunity to pick up a smith and Wesson performance center AR 10 in 6.5 CM. Anyone tried out one of these? Can other uppers work with the smith lower or no? I'd like to have a 7.62 nato upper to go with it. Thanks for your help

If the 6.5 shoots anything like my 308 M&P10 then you can expect consistent 1MOA groups with the occasional .5-.7MOA groups that you can take pics of to impress your friends.
No receiver compatibility that I'm aware of though.

I would avoid them and pick someone that has more parts compatibility so when things wear out or break or you want to upgrade.... you can replace on your own.

All the serious revolver shooters like to say that the only thing in the S&W Performance Center shop is a laser engraver and a couple illiterate parts assemblers that occasionally put a gun together that almost works. I don't know how bad a person could assemble an AR but I would still avoid the PC like the plague.

I'm not the happiest with my JM PC 929, expected better....

Join the club. There's pics all over the Enos forum of front sights at 1 o'clock, muzzle crowns with burrs that would cut off a finger and cylinders that drag on the forcing cone. Then there's the pics from after S&W "fixes" these issues with a hammer and a file...

Tempted to send it off to Cylinder and slide for a full action kit and work over but I don't shoot it much... At least I didn't pay full price for it because I bought it used! Just don't want to dump a bunch more $ into it.
