Remy long action chambered in 12.7 x 48.....50BMG projo in cut down 338 Lapua....Extremely close to the SSK 510 Whisper. Custom suppressor based off of AWC 50 cal can...aluminum construction w/hard-coat anodized baffles.

McRee MODSS Chassis system ( I made the neoprene covers for the cheek rest), Scoped with a Millet 6-25 LRS w/35mm tube.

Yeah...it's quiet. If I can get the video in my phone downloaded to my computer, I'll get it posted. This is quickly becoming my new favorite toy!

I've added a link below for the video. Had to shorten it to be able to send from my phone to computer, but you hear the suppressor twice.First shot is at the berm to hear effectiveness of the can, second shot on steel gong @100ds.

Re: PIc of my 12.7 x 48 w/can

It has to be processed. It starts out as a 338 Lapua cartridge, then it is cut to proper length and the neck is turned on a lathe. I have a guy that does it for a 1.00 a case. Nice thing is after the initial cost of the brass (between 3.00-4.00 per case with processing), they can be reloaded many many times as it's a low pressure round. I have friends that have upwards of 20 reloads with their cases.

Very interesting round indeed. I'd really be interested in seeing your video.

Re: PIc of my 12.7 x 48 w/can

That's in a very 80s way, totally radical!

Re: PIc of my 12.7 x 48 w/can

Half MOA at 100? Isn't the bullet larger than half an inch almost? Just mess'n with you. That's an awesome setup lol.

Re: PIc of my 12.7 x 48 w/can

Dude that's BOSS...
What kind of energy is that giving you downrange?

Re: PIc of my 12.7 x 48 w/can

Reminds me of a bigger .510 WSM. What powder are you using at what velocities? What twist are you using to stabilize the big 750 AMAXs?

Left to right:
300 win mag, 7mm mag, 510 WSM, 357 sig, 9mm, 17hmr, 22 short

We got 647gr APIs up to 1700fps using AA1680. It's got a little recoil too
