Rifle Scopes Pick 1

Primarily being used for hunting purposes. But also want to use for precision classes and longer range target shooting. Also interested in the march 3-24

Why by far, and why specifically not the nx8? I prefer a lower lower low end because of hunting. And I'd like ffp. I had an nxs before which nothing I diddt

people are seeing distortion on the outer edge of the NX8 at high magnification. For hunting I think it’s a great option.

Let me start by saying I don't really care for any Nightforce scopes, but since you asked I will answer it. And I have really tried to like Nightforce.... Dillhole already pointed out one of the issues at higher magnification. The new USO TS 20x did the same thing. My personal other issue is that my eyes just preferred the NXS and ATACR better than the NX8. Optically, I don't see it in the same league as the Leupold.

Like I always say, get what works the best for you. Not someone else's opinion. Try them both and keep the one you prefer.

The main reason I'm sorta stuck on the nx8 is because of the lower end magnification for hunting purposes. I dont shoot across long fields, I have the option, but I'm usually in the stand and higher magnificationsnwierd me out since I've always hunted with irons. But I also want to do classes to get closer to 1000. So the higher end above 15 really isnt a must have for me

Then I would recommend this.

I'd try looking through the NX8 before committing to buying one.
I had a play with a 4-32 and the reticle was tiny on 4x, not something I'd want if the low end is what you will be using most of the time.
The TMR at 3.6x will be a lot easier to pick up, especially against dark targets.

Reticle thinkness on the low end is something you should consider if you intend to be on minimum magnification a lot.
I'd personally consider a SFP scope, but that's just me.

If give a close look to Tangent Theta TT315M 3-15x50 and March 3-24x52.

Do you have a reticle preference?

NX8 distortion issues are more severe on low power than high power, but I have only seen the 2.5-20x50. if you want Nightforce, get the ATACR F1 4-16X42.

I don't think anyone has said it yet, but bushnell xtr iii 3.3-18. Lightweight, really good field of view on low power, and seems to be getting good initial reports.
