I'm trying to figure out what to use for pillars with my 1917 action. Doesn't seem to be anything out there ready made. (Didn't figure there would be) I'll be heading into town in the morning to get some supplies and going to the hardware store. What materials could I make some pillars out of.

Use brass or aluminum.Stocky's stocks has bedding pillars that are oversize so you can cut them to length.
