Training Courses Pistol class in Florida

I’m gonna be down in Florida, in the Orlando area, all summer working, I figured I could spend a weekend and go to a pistol class while I’m there. Is there anywhere in Florida y’all would recommend to go to? Thanks.

There are some classes and all kinds of fun match competitions. Pretty much whatever you are looking for: ipsc, idpa, steel challenge. Something going on every weekend and usually during the week too. There’s a public day on Wednesdays if you’re up for that.

Yeah, we have fun here. Have your rifle sent with you. We’ve got a couple good matches coming up and I help run a LR practice once a month too.

well I would bring my rifle with me, but since I knew I would be gone all summer I waited to order a new stock and barrel so it would arrive right as I got back home.

That 1200 yard range is only available a couple of days per month for practice.

I'm not personally familiar, but some of the known traveling instructors I follow to see if they hold anything here in Jacksonville, some hold classes right up the rd from Orlando in Leesburg at: https://arestrainingfacility.com/

Their website calendar isn't updated but there are a few things showing on their Facebook page.

A lot of instruction dries up here in the summer.

I couldn't say, as I haven't shot there. I went down there from Jax to take a look around and get some more specifics than what was listed on the Club's website. But no one should waste their time just driving there to see if they can shoot on the 1K range. Last I knew it was only open the “second Saturday and Wednesdays before monthly matches”. Check the club's calendar and the facebook page of Precision Shooting Services to get the availability. Most of the time it looks like they sell out of the slots for the practice sessions in advance.

Can't believe it has already been a year and a half since driving down. One of these days...
