Place to shoot in northern Nevada?

April 20th-26th I'll be up near Carson City/Virginia City, Nevada to do little vacationing with my Dad and GF. Was wondering if there was any place to shoot semi long range? If not maybe somewhere on the way back down Highway 395 back towards my house in Newport Beach? Thanks in advance.

There's a nice 1K range at the Washoe County Shooting Facility, about 20 minutes north of Reno.
