I have a Syrac arms adjustable gas block on my current .223. It is the style where you need to hold down the detent to make the adjustment. It works fine, but I recently saw a u tube video of a newer style Syrac arms unit that "clicks" into place, but nobody has it advertised yet.

I have also heard of another manufacturer using the "one click" type of locking mechanism for adjustment but cannot recall who they are. Are there even more manufacturers I should check out before doing my next builds? If anyone can add additional manufacturers and any comments to this post I would greatly appreciate it.

I am building a new AR15 right now and also an 80% LR308. I want to put gas adjustable systems on both of them. Thanks....

Syrac hasn't gotten their newest generation block out yet...should be fairly soon though.

The SLR Rifleworks adjustable blocks are a better design in my experience, BUT, because of how they are designed, they are larger/taller than the Syrac blocks which can cause fitment issues with SOME ARs/handguards. Here's a link to their site: Gas Blocks SLR is also working on a "tool-less" adjustment setup for their blocks, but nothing yet as to specs, etc. The SLR is the best in the business right now in my experience with a couple different models.

MicroMOA makes one. It's side adjust rather than front adjust. If you have linear cut outs in your handguard at 11 and 1 o'clock you'll likely be lined up. I haven't got my hands on one yet but they look interesting...

Below are some links to a new two part article that came out this week on the MicroMOA Govnah that covers the background and Govnah solution and testing quite well - all with RoF informatioin.
Part1: MicroMOA?s ?Govnah? Adjustable Gas Block (Pt 1 of 2) - RECOIL
Part2: MicroMOA?s ?Govnah? Adjustable Gas Block (Pt 2 of 2) - RECOIL

Our patented, modular, tool-less, adjustable gas block was specifically designed to handle heavy full auto suppressed usage.
It is currently the only tool less adjustable gas block on the market that uses a standard unmodified gas tube.
With this design, you can adjust the regulator plate when hot and just use a bullet tip to move the plate. In addition, you can feel the plate in complete darkness to know what position it is set to by feel.

You can see that the Govnah is based on actual port sizes from NO port to whatever you want to drill. In the event that your barrel is overgassed and you don't want to run suppressed, I personally would have 1 port match your barrel's gas port which would be your adverse position (for use when dirty or using weak ammo) and you would also use that to install/align the block for installation then work your way up to a port size that locks your bolt back on the other port for optimal unsuppressed.
Then use the 3rd position for suppressed use.
Or use a two position if you just want suppressed and max gas.

Thanks for the SLR link ORD. I've been looking for a better option for a .936 adjustable gas block on a 26" Krieger I have... Looks like the uninstalled JP might be going back to Brownells.
