Just wondering if anyone here has much experience with them, any FTF problems, etc., waiting to get my Form 1 back from ATF to pick up mine from my dealer, granted it only took 8+ months for the upper to arrive from POF, lol, at least its finally here. I have a AAC M4-2000 with nothing to put it on, till then

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

I wouldnt put a can on it ..... I would put a Noveske Piggy break on it before a can with that short of a barrel. I dont believe that AAC will warranty the can if it is used on anything shorter than a 10.5 inch barrel.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

I do some work for POF and have shot the 9.25. Personally, I think the 11.5 would have been a better choice. Goes well with a can or without and is still very accurate. You should get good service regardless.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

My brother had a 9.25" upper. He did get some FTF with it using privi partisan 55gr ammo. I agree with the above comments, I think that 9.25 is too short for a can. Also my brother ended up selling his and replacing it with a longer barrel.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

I had some issues with just a normal 9.25" POF. Had to send it back to them to work on. Never even bothered trying to run it after that, sold it, and got an LWRC. Never looked back.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

I watched a fella in my squad do a 3 gun weekend with a 9.25 POF. It ran like a raped ape all weekend, and I'm sure he suppressed it routinely at home because he is a Class 3 dealer/lawyer. He's on Ar15.com under the user name SC-Texas, in fact his avatar is a pic of that rifle. You might contact him for more info? He shows a website of www.HoustonAttorney.org

Anyway, it was a really neat little rifle and worked great for him.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

By the way, you might get one of the AAC brake mounts for the M4-2000 since it is rumored that the brake acts as a blast baffle and might lessen the wear on your suppressor? Just a thought...

Sure does: I certainly like the fact that it's 1:7 though for shooting heavier bullets.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

I have a 9.25 with an M42K.
It runs fine but I am going to be changing to brake mount to try and save the blast baffle.
I don't shoot my longer AR's anymore.

I put together a 11.5 upper and it seemed too long to me even with that short of a barrel so I went with the 9.25 and couldn't be happier.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

We were out shooting some high end systems (LWRC, POF, Ruger, SIG) today.
The LWRC 11.5 seemed to out perform the POF shorty.
By that statement I mean the LWRC had NO feed failures after 5 30rd. mag dumps. The POF had 4 feeding issues with the exact same ammo.
You decide.

Re: POF 9.25" Uppers

Had a chance to shoot it during our academy shoot yesterday, granted it was only at 50 yds, was shooting about 3" with 5 shot groups, I guess its not too bad just using the injection molded Mapgul sights, need some more practice with them to bring the groups down, but for what it is, I'm pretty happy with them.
