that gen is about gone. in my mind the only reason i will ever vote again is out of respect for them. my parents believed the narrative that they fought under til the very end. they were all pretty much of the same mind and believed they fought for freedom and believed that FDR saved the country during the depression. deep state was alive even back then and had the story hard wired.
Ahhh, many an argument with my folks who were born right before depression. Always about "how FDR saved us from the depression and WW2." To which I always replied...WW2 saved us from depression. Also had to point out how much commie poop was going down under FDR and how he tried stacking the court, etc, etc. That all his programs were the basis for the welfare state, that had he let capitalism work we'd been out of the depression in much less time than it took. Never sure I won that argument because I didn't live through it.

It'll be challenged in court and ultimately shot down........ :(
Maybe, but it is SOP for many professions (doctors, lawyers, veterinarians, dentists). They all have to be licensed in the state they are practicing in. Move to another state, must get licensed in that state - often requiring an exam to demonstrate their knowledge and competence, depending on the state. I see no reason why a teacher's certification in the state should be any different.

Hindsight is 20/20.
My parents were born in '32 and '34 in eastern NC. Momma said everyone was already poor there. When the Depression hit...well they were used to being poor already under reconstruction. Grandaddy said it wasn't like Sherman. No one was burning towns and killing livestock, so they got by.
The carpetbaggers didn't fare well.........

The Depression dare i say, was actually good for the southern states.
Yeah. They loved them some FDR....but within reason. He was a yankee...

Volkswagen is now offering owners of its ID.3 EV hatchback the option to boost their car’s performance — for a monthly subscription fee. Instead of following the traditional model of offering improved performance through upgraded components, VW has locked its car’s true potential behind a software subscription

Don't mis-understand, I'm in agreement with what they are trying to do. And in particular, the reason why.

However, this new policy can be viewed as being "discriminatory". It does wander out of the lane of being merely a "competency" test and can (will) be interpreted by liberals as attempting to keep people out of these positions because they have "beliefs" that differ from those that are doing the hiring. This has "Supreme Court" written all over it.

The liberals have been pulling this same shit for decades. They have (had) been successful because they never made their intentions public (by passing laws that were visible to the public). The conservatives ought to just keep quiet about it and do the same thing (in reverse).

Plenty of other options out there, buy something else.

Probably because there isn't much money to be made in maintenance on electric vehicles outside of tires and brakes. Just like the states pushing for these for the environment, then realizing they made zero tax dollars on fuel, so they are creating mileage tax.

I got a suggestion for ICE - come clean out the RED states first so that all the illegals congregate in the BLUE states. Then, no Federal Funds in any way to the BLUE states - let the BLUE state citizens pay for the illegals.

There are a whole bunch of RED folks in blue States. Unfortunately we are among them, and have minimal to no representation.

No, I understood you weren't saying you were against it, and everything you wrote here is true. They will have to be very careful how they administer whatever standards are chosen for the test, but it is do-able, and the leftists will certainly attack it with everything they have.

Yep, you've summarized my point(s) quite well. (y) :)

In hindsight, I think the better approach would have been to just keep quiet about it and do it. Now, it's out in the open and you can be guaranteed that the libs have already set their crosshairs on it.
