The 5G signal can interfere with the radio altimeter signal, so now airlines won't be able to use these lower minimums, causing us to divert when we would have been able to land before. They are. In a meeting last month, the FAA showed that if the FCC had granted the liscense for the 5G frequency range in 2019, over 30 million passengers would have been affected.
