I read where he wants to take "assault" weapons and "large" capacity mags off the streets again.
I can't help but believe that hearing about the Ukranian "civilian resistance" to the big powerful Russian ground machine makes them sweat and that is behind this new surge of anti2A rhetoric.

Joe Shmo gets factchecked:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden related a faulty Democratic talking point about guns in his first State of the Union speech, made his plan on electric vehicles sound more advanced than it is and inflated the sweep of his infrastructure package. On several fronts, he presented ambitions as achievements.
A look at some of his claims Tuesday night and a glance at the Republican response:
COVID-19
BIDEN: “Severe cases are down to a level not seen since July of last year.”
THE FACTS: Biden overstated the improvement, omitting a statistic that remains a worrisome marker of the toll from COVID-19.
While hospitalizations indeed are down from last summer, deaths remain high. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID tracker shows 289 deaths on July 1, 2021. This past Monday the CDC tracker reported 1,985 deaths.

GUNS
BIDEN, asking Congress to pass measures he said would reduce gun violence: “Repeal the liability shield that makes gun manufacturers the only industry in America that can’t be sued, the only one.”
THE FACTS: That’s false. While gun manufacturers do have legal protections from being held liable for injuries caused by criminal misuse of their weapons thanks to the 2005 Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, they are not exempt or immune from being sued.
The law lays out exceptions where manufacturers or dealers can be held liable for damages their weapons cause, such as defects or damages in the design of the gun, negligence, or breach of contract or warranty regarding the purchase of a gun.
Families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, sued gun maker Remington, alleging “wrongful marketing” of firearms, and last month agreed to a $73 million settlement.

BINGO. Winner winner chicken dinner. Now it's a "whoa...people really can fight back against a fully armed military." Now...gun control to the Nth degree.

The problem with this is that so many people cannot follow just how freaking illogical this is. Though, in reality it's not illogical, it's called brainwashing.
Except now, the machine has succeeded in placing far left weak DA's that won't prosecute crime, including but not limited to crime directed toward police. So increase number of cops all you want, crime won't go down.

These are your leaders.
They are so fucking excited about their plans, they can't contain themselves.
Their agenda is succeeding, and they are giddy.
They are giddy cause they know we are arguing about whether we should be monsters like them. Better make up your minds, cause got big news for you dipshits, they already think you are monsters...and there is not one fucking thing you can do or say to change it.

Won't be no Switzerland in what is coming.

The last thing you want, is to be sandwiched between two sets of monsters.

Tell me this isn’t the face of a sadistic killer.

Taylor Schabusiness actually looks like a Chinese femme-fatale from the mountainous regions in the 1930s whose entire family were killed by invading Japanese troops, and then she goes to Shanghai, gets a job as an escort, and lures Japanese officers to hotel rooms where she kills and dismembers them before moving on to other targets. And at some point of her career she gets REALLY good with a Walther PPK as well and engages in running gun battles with both the Japanese and the Shanghai Metro police working with the Japanese because her Shanxi, Heilongjiang, or Shandong accent keeps betraying her as not from Shanghai...

ETA: I literally grew up on epic shows like these and after a while, the plot lines are predictable. In the end, she almost ALWAYS falls in love with the rugged, grey uniformed Communist 8th Route Army or 4th Army commanding officer laying siege to the city because somehow, she always gets cornered in a church, surrounded by like 12 battalions of Japanese with tanks, and then the PLA just happens to launch an artillery strike that wipes the enemy out and she is recovered from the rubble, unconscious but otherwise unhurt...

Schabumi

A few here will get that.

If a man did this to looters here the authorities would free the looter from his shackles, take a statement from them, confiscate all the surveillance footage in the area and track the vigilante down to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the “law”. The “victim” would be used to identify him at his sham trial. Sad reality.

That works for Ukraine and much of eastern Europe. Me personally, I like the old school American way:

Which is also very similar to how it was done in the Gobi, Pamir, and Taklamakan frontiers of China from 1870 to around 1950ish... There is something about large groups of horsemen thundering across grasslands and deserts wearing trail hats and dusters that make even the most high-tech modern anti-crime operations look just pale in comparison...

"BREAKING: Australian Federal Court on
Vaccine Safety Filing – Livestreams Tomorrow!

The Federal Court of Australia has heeded calls by the Australian Vaccination-risks Network, Inc (AVN) to urgently schedule the next Case Conference hearing for their COVID-19 vaccine safety case today, where the AVN is challenging the failure in decision making of Brendan Murphy, the Secretary of the Australian Department of Health, to not cancel the vaccines in light of unprecedented rates of reported side effects and deaths.

During this second Case Conference which is a pre-trial hearing, the legal team representing the AVN, and the team representing Brendan Murphy, will speak with Federal Court Judge, The Hon Melissa Anne Perry, regarding the structure of the case and messages to be argued during the upcoming substantive hearing.

The case conference has been scheduled for:

  • Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT)
    March 3, at 4:15pm
  • U.S. Pacific Time (PST)
    March 2, at 9:15pm

  • U.S. Eastern Time (EST)
    February 3, at 12:15am
Worldwide, the public can access (but not record) the livestream of the case conference."

EDIT: looks like the federal courts website is being blocked. lucky that .gov passed those laws last year where they gave themselves power to manipulate online content. coming up with bad gateway, even going straight to the courts website directly. nothing to see here it seems...

During the SOTU address, I couldn't take my eyes off of Nancy. I kept thinking "how could the richest member of congress not be able to afford dentures that fit"? I have since learned that it is more likely that she suffers from tardive dyskinesia. Which raises a more serious problem. You get TD from long term exposure to psychoactive medication. Does this mean that the third person in line for the leadership of America has secretly been on major tranqs for God knows how long? Do the American people deserve to know? On a more humorous note: the move she made while FJB talked about burn pits; standing, dancing, and rubbing her fists together, is now being called the "Eager Fly".
