I hear what your saying, but how do you stop this from happening again? Would you advocate taking people dogs from them? Even then idk if it would help, the last two dog bite situations I’ve been in were both pits. Both the owners were clients of mine and very responsible people. The dogs just chose to bite for no understandable reason. And sadly the numbers reflect there’s a problem!
Instead of just liability imposed against the dog owner start charging them with felonies. Of course negligence would have to be proven and not the dog defending the owner. In the case of the 80 year old that was killed charge the owners with manslaughter or negligent homicide.
If you shoot somebody with your AR15 there’s a fair chance you’ll get charged with a felony. If somebody buys it or steals it, it’s not yours anymore.
