THEY LITERALLY RIOTED IN NEW YORK AND DAMN NEAR BURNED THE FUCKER DOWN OVER EVEN REMOTELY THINKING THEY WERE FIGHTING TO FREE SLAVES.

IN OTHER NEWS, AMERICANS DIED IN WW2 TO FREE THE JEWS FROM CONCENTRATION CAMPS

Its funny Listening to a group of people who grew up in modern times, that never saw the real oppression that was over come in this country bitching about shit they never experienced first hand.

Woman, Queer, people of what ever ethinic back ground. You have equal rights in 2023... Now shut the fuck up and embrace the suck.

I just read a few articles about the history of that plant. Apparently, there were concerns about embrittlement of the pressure vessel.
It was commissioned in 1961 and very old. It had some serious safety issues along with some degree of mismanagement.

It was not a very large reactor anyways. It served a purpose when it was built but was more of an issue during the mid eighties when it was in sad shape. It was a good idea to take it off-line.

The Forbes family is one of the components of the Boston Brahmins—they are a wealthy extended American family long prominent in Boston, Massachusetts. The family's fortune originates from trading opium and tea between North America and China in the 19th century plus other investments in the same period.
