Is this legit? What general education level does a 50 on the ASVAB equate to?
Appears that a 50 would be a F (fail).

I just put this in another thread but it seems appropriate here:

While on paper we are a representative republic the halls of congress operate like a mob rule democracy. That means popular (majority) vote by the politicians does indeed make the laws. The only thing that makes a representative republic viable in any government is when the morality of the elected officials cause them to really vote for the welfare of their constituents and represent those interests. This is not what we have currently - far from it. We effectively have a political class that is voting democratically to do what they please, which includes being told or coerced into that “uniparty democracy” environment. There is little representation beyond the minimum to give the illusion of representation so they can keep getting re-elected. But historical evidence clearly shows they vote in unison and apart from what the constituents want.

If we look at it in those terms we can see that a political-class democracy driven by outside and selfish interests is probably what we actually have because representation of the citizenry is no longer a primary goal of our elected officials. This also means that wherever the politicians steer the ship it is based on some other agenda that isn’t highly correlated to the will of the people.

The decline of morality, the absence of honor and a lack of willingness to serve the people instead of powerful interests is what has killed the representative republic. We have wound up with a federal democracy composed of snakes that has the entire bureaucratic employee base doing their bidding. The representative republic is dead - acknowledging that may help to give us a clearer picture of what is going on and where it is all headed.
fine insight. we all know where it is going, nowhere good. term limits would have helped 20yr ago. too late now for that or anything else to fix any part of it.

Brac Base Closer’s but only those military bases off shore, realign the personnel back to North America. We are no longer going to be world police. Troubles with enlistment numbers, work with a smaller team closer to home. Besides maybe enough is enough with Mexico, we should impress upon them to better manage their criminals by actively participating with military forces restoring law and order For them.
declare war on mexico and the rest of central america. that way anyone here from there is a hostile military enemy alien or spy during wartime. shoot them on sight or capture and isolate in concentration camps. same things the russians did to germans after 1943. this gets around posse comitatus, which doesn't matter because pres can suspend it at will. i'm a bit surprised that the biden/obama regime hasn't already done that to use army against any opponents they see. this all assumes that the current woke military can actually beat mexico and it's cartel troops on the ground and clear the inner cities. hard core seems to have been chased out of the military ground forces and navy.

We can’t declare war on a NATFTA member (or whatever they are calling it now) without pushing them farther into the arms of China. China already has established manufacturing facilities in Mexico to get around China trade sanctions. Add to that the Panama Canal. We have been asleep too long. It started with Carter. Let’s not forget the Amero.

The Chyna Mexico fentanyl pipeline crossing the Southern Border is reason enough for US Military intervention.
Ronald Reagan declared a War on Drugs.

So what will the UK do about it? They invested the "peace dividends" on anything but their military. They cannot "man" (with whatever gender) the few ships they have left. Not enough ground combat units to deter the Houthis. Oh, I know - get the US to do the heavy lifting.
Perhaps the "secret weapon" to destroy America is to have it's resources drained down to nothing by trying to save the world.
If that's the plan, it's working.

the carribean has ALWAYS been the 3rd world. kept under some control because of us/euro tourism. fished and dove there a fair bit and even in the 70s there were obvious problems, tension and incidents. stupid ass tourists going to "native" areas was always risky. even in the 70s i met US expat business owners that were leaving the US V.I.s because of crime and official corruption. in our new world staying away has it's merits.
