I think they were up river of the bridge, lost power and drifted backwards/downstream through it. The masts were broken off in the direction of the bow, further indicating they were moving (drifting) backwards at the time of the incident.
It appears they were able to restore power, albeit after the damage was done and they were downstream of the bridge.
What I'm wondering about is how/why they lost power ? Same mechanics that worked on the scow that took down the bridge in Baltimore ?........

A friend's relative passed from prostate cancer after one of his doc's said "it's not a big deal, they are usually slow." Kept bothering him, went to different doc, and it was all over the place - immediate hospitalization. He fought for 3 or 4 years, every freaking treatment including experimental and finally succumbed. Not to be taken lightly.
To think these are people ‘leading’ the country…yeah, leading it to death.
