So serious question that nobody seems to answer. I understand the distrust in the health care officials and numbers reporting on all of this. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I certainly understand it. But how do you square the circle of doctors who have had numerous patients suffering and dying with this disease, and thinking that nobody really died from it. Is the assumption that they don't know what they are talking about, or that they are part of the lie? Or is it just that some are dying, but since no doctor is seeing a substantial part of the population, extras are just added to the real death count?

Last summer the one I drive by had a noticeably empty parking lot.

A lot of "scheduled" hospital work was cancelled. The type of stuff they make money on.

Health care is dead now. We are still doing stupid on line stuff.

My daughter went to work in the Bronx hospital for the money. She said that they were never swamped like the news portrayed. She was there from Feb to Aug last year.

I have a friend who is a nurse in Houston. She was laid off from April until elective surgeries were allowed again. She ended up getting covid and got sick sometime after she was called back. The hospital wanted her to come back to work as soon as she was feeling better and well before the 14 day mandatory quarantine. They didn’t take this shit seriously themselves.

Many of the hospitals only supported the Covid floor with minimal staffing, causing them to work long hours when the floor was to capacity. It wasn't like the entire hospital was busy with Covid patients. They set up a certain amount of beds and a certain amount of staff. They wouldn't add staffing to help those who were working 80 hours a week. They certainly could have prevented the burnout that you heard so much about. But they didn't.

None of your responses are rebuttals of what I said, and I don't really dispute much of it, though I think Sessions was a fool rather than a tool. That said, I literally know people who were telling him not to hire those people, who were telling him that McMaster, who had his faults, would be far more loyal to him than Bolton (and in the end he was probably the closest to fair to Trump.). Personnel is policy, in the end. He made those decisions, and a lot of his problems came from those decisions, but that is what management is, in the end.

So serious question that nobody seems to answer. I understand the distrust in the health care officials and numbers reporting on all of this. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I certainly understand it. But how do you square the circle of doctors who have had numerous patients suffering and dying with this disease, and thinking that nobody really died from it. Is the assumption that they don't know what they are talking about, or that they are part of the lie? Or is it just that some are dying, but since no doctor is seeing a substantial part of the population, extras are just added to the real death count?

I don't disagree that the stats are skewed, but the issue is that every one of these lies contains a lot of truth, and thus the argument that they are complete lies is so easily disproven and discarded. I've plenty of doctors I trust, because they are not my doctors but close family members, lol. They all had, and have, slightly different views on the issue, often based on their specialty and location. One close cousin runs the ENT practice at a major NYC hospital, so he sees it differently from a cardiologist or internist, simply based on what he sees.

None of your responses are rebuttals of what I said, and I don't really dispute much of it, though I think Sessions was a fool rather than a tool. That said, I literally know people who were telling him not to hire those people, who were telling him that McMaster, who had his faults, would be far more loyal to him than Bolton (and in the end he was probably the closest to fair to Trump.). Personnel is policy, in the end. He made those decisions, and a lot of his problems came from those decisions, but that is what management is, in the end.

Biden is a disaster. How many times do we all need to say that? It's true, but it doesn't take away from Trumps inability to put good people in place. It's true for the President of a company, as much as it is true for the President of a country.

Yes, the buck stops at the POTUS for the most part. However, the interesting thing about this is that Trump was a complete outsider to the "political swamp" and as such a lot of the people were probably suggested by the swamp. Not knowing "the game" so to speak was also a detriment as he didn't have full grasp on who is who (good, bad, indifferent) with regards to his policy.

Fast forward to somebody like a Ron DeSantis. He has the political insight and his own "team" that I'm sure by now he mostly trusts. Those folks understand the nuances and shit that makes our dirty government work (for right or for wrong...that's how it's done). Maybe they can clean it up; but that's going to take about 24-36 years of true conservative leadership. Hell, even 12 in a row COULD accomplish wonders. That said, The People are going to also have to vote true conservatives into Congress. If...and this is a big if...there can ever be an even remotely fair and unrigged election.
