So I have a 110BA in 338 Lapua. I like the caliber and the rifle, but I HATE the stock. Especially the buttstock. It is rock hard and I can't get fully comfortable behind it, no matter what I do. I would love to change out the buttstock for something else. There are a lot of nice AR15 buttstocks out there that fit me great. I love the offerings from XLR. But my problem is, there is no way to attach them to my rifle. I have seen some BA's with aftermarket buttstocks, but that is not an option for me. My rifle is like the one pictured below. What I need is the adapter circled in red in the second picture. It would allow me to attach a buffer tube to my chassis. If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know. I also would gladly buy one off of somebody who is no longer using their factory chassis. Thanks

POS stock on my Savage 110BA

I barked up that tree with Savage a year ago. Even having a FFL with storefront I couldn't get that part. That is a part from the old 10BA they used to do which had a few but stock options. The part is no longer manufactured. If you want a mono-pod Accushot makes one for that stock I believe.

Thank you for the info. Its not what I wanted to hear, but I figured this was the case. I have sent pictures to savage but never received a response. Guess I'll have to try the limbsaver and just live with the rest
