Maybe this belongs in NV section?
I recently bought some NVGs and have been looking for a helmet to mount them on for when I go LARPing lol. I have an acquaintance who wants to sell me a OPS-CORE ballistic helmet.
I'm concerned it might be a counterfeit, I tried to email gentex/ops-core but they refused my email by default -
I've checked their page about authenticity and most of the stuff checks out, sticker looks correct, inside of helmet looks correct (I think). With the exception of the rails it has ops-core logos on everything. Serial is low # indicating a pre-2014 production. Only question I have is that the mount/shroud itself doesn't sit flush to helmet perfect. The bottom edge is lifted up by the rim of the helmet. Is this normal?
Thanks for any help!
