If I have the older style (previous to 2014) AIAX rifle, is it possible to remove the butt stock assembly and replace it with the AXMC unit? I'd assume the detach point would need to be at the hinge.

    Thanks for any help.

I believe this question has come up before and if I'm not mistaken, the answer was no. If I remember correctly, there was a picture of one AICS with the skeletonized stock, but it was fabricated at Accuracy International. I don't remember why you couldn't replace them, but I'll see if I can find the thread. I seem to recall one issue being the AXMC swings to the right instead of the left, but I'm also not sure which side the pre-14 AX chassis swings towards.

Thanks, I tried searching with no luck. And it seems all knowledge that was on Scout is now non-accessible.

I'm pretty sure it was on this site. I remember reading it, but I don't know if it was in the bolt action section or the equipment section and search hasn't given me any leads
