    I was able to drag and drop photos from My Photos to any thread I was responding to. I does not do that now and I must 'attach' a file. The difference is in how each item was displayed. When you dragged and dropped, it gave you a full view of the photo and when you 'attach' a file it shows a thumbnail you must click to get the full view.

    Any way to drag and drop again and I'm just missing it?

    I know the entire site is slower than shit today........tried uploading a pic and finally gave up after 20 minutes. I suspect the mods know about it and it will be fixed shortly.

    I can use the photo option in the menu bar to drag and drop.

    Otherwise, I'm not sure why I cannot drag and drop directly to the thread as I was once able to do before the most recent update.

    Hi,

    @Jefe's Dope
    I had to do a video card driver update on the Alien after the forum update to keep the forum from bogging down on my end. Seems the forum update may use a very compressed image system that just caused my machine to stall.
    I checked for suggested updates in my Alien portal and there was a video card driver update suggestion....ran update and bogging of SH went away.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

    We did add an image optimizer to the system to reduce the file sizes.

    But letting you upload full-size images is hard on server space, I pay for the servers based on the use, and every single month my use goes up and my costs go up, so the image optimizer is designed to let you continue to upload images without killing my server. As noted, host your damn images online, pay for your own service and just use the link here. Problem solved.

    If you are uploading big ass files you are bogging down my system and costing me money.

    I uploaded the image above, it's huge, uploaded super-fast, no issues, dragged and dropped
