Is there charts available somewhere that shows the the burn rate changes with Temperature for most or all power types. Or temperature sensitivity charts? I'm trying to learn how to use Applied Ballistics with the MV variation: fps/deg. Any tips would be helpful.

Thanks,

This is my own personal data collection and estimates from my 308 in my signature box. I live in norther VA and have shot from freezing to 90 degree temps in the shade. Hope this helps.

Alliant PowerPro 2000mr
.6-.75 ftps per 1 degree temp change

Alliant Reloader 15
1.2 fps per degree
1 fps / degree from 60-90 .... but from 10 to 30 it may be 2 or 3 fps / degree

IMR 4064
.50-.55 fps per

Varget
.50 to .75 fps per degree

Was about to post a PSA about something similar that slipped my mind until this week.

Was doing load testing in December, in Utah where the temp was around 50s or so. Max I had loaded and used with no pressure signs was 44.5 grains.

Went out yesterday in 95 degrees and started with 43.9 grains and it felt a bit hard on recoil but no real signs of pressure. Moved up to 44.2 and blew the first 2 primers and stopped. Mind you, this is still .3 grains under where I was easily shooting with from before and probably had room for more testing; but not in the current temperature.

I need to chrono the 43.9 as I am very curious how fast they are right now.
