Hi Guys,

New to reloading so please excuse the newbie question(s).

I'll be reloading for my .338 Lapua Magnum. I'll be using both
250gr. & 300gr. Berger Hybrid OTM Tac bullets.

I have several reloading manuals but I can't reference any that
are using these bullets for an accurate powder charge.

Would I be safe if using the powder charges recommended for the
Sierra Match King HPBT bullets? These appear to be simialar
in style. The Bergers are just slightly longer but not by much.

Assuming so, I would also use the recommended C.O.A.L as well?

I have ordered the Berger reloading manual but it's not being
released until mid October.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards.

I was in on the Berger 250gr Hybrid test and I just used my go-to load for H-4831sc and nudged it down from 89grs to 88.5grs and things were peachy.

As you can see from above, the only variable I fiddled with was COAL and I saw some interesting results with POI shift the longer out I seated them, at the end. Small sample size, but it was surprising.

Feel free to use 250gr Scenar/SMK/Horandy data, but always start low and work up, if you're not sure.
