powder for 208 Amax in .308 Win?

I looked through the 10 pages of load data and found only a few loads for 190 Sierras and 208 Amax's in .308 Win.

I know, really need .30-06 or .300WM. But IF one wanted to use them in .308 (26" barrel with 10.25 twist) what powder would be recommended to try and get a velocity of at least 2550fps for 208 Amax (after running number in JBM to show the minimum needed to make it worth while and switch over from 175's). Or course, more speed would be better. Someone else must have been crazy enough to try this before me. Loads posted here are still using Varget or RL-15 (208 Amax at 2580fps using 43.2gns of RL-15).

But I was thinking something a bit slower would take advantage of the 26" tube?

VV shows N550 with 190's at 2624fps and that can probably be improved on.

So N550, RL-19, IMR 4831, RL-22, something else? If I go buy a pound for trying this out, any recommendations?

That is what I'm looking for. Evidently your google-fu is better than mine, or I just did not look far enough back in time.

Of course, if someone has tried other powders, feel free to chime in.
