I've got allot of this powder and a new 7-08 on the way. Want to try these with 168 hunting hybrids. My gun was throated long for heavier bullets. I've seen anywhere from 42 to 45.5 as a max load. Anybody ever try it?

That's the report I saw of 45.3 grains, but aliant claims 43.3 grains for a 145. Aliants guide sucks however which is the reason for the question.
The only way you'll know is to work up the loads in your rifle looking for pressure signs. COAL, projectiles bearing length, chamber and throat dimensions all influence the result. I started my load work up at 42gr. It was an educated guess taking into account other loads I've worked up in my rifle, the fact my rifle is long throated and I started with a COAL way over the usual 2.800" quoted for the majority of 7mm-08's and 168gr projectiles.
