HE IS RISEN!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

The Resurrection of Christ

15 Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. 2 It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.

3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.

Please pray for me and our family. My Grandfather was in the hospital with a stroke and a heart attack just before his 97th birthday. He was allowed to come home on hospice care, and we celebrated his 97th on Saturday. My Grandmother has really bad dementia, but she was allowed to come out and visit, and it was heartbreaking to watch the two interact, as was my Grandfather's prayers over the food. I have NEVER seen my Grandfather cry, but I did more than once on Saturday.

Also, we are closing on our place hopefully 5/19, so we would appreciate your prayers over that as well.

No different than most, we have a lot going on, too much at times it feels like to our earthly bodies, BUT the lord will never give you more than you can handle.

Prayers for your family.

God for sure gives us more than we can handle. Then we depend on Him to make it through. Its a good dependence.
Without Him, we as humans turn to worldly things to escape the tough stuff.

Im guilty of it more than a handful of times.

I cant link the FB page for Finding Kaylee and they found her body a couple days ago out in Oregon.

Please keep her family in your prayers.

Im sure the closure is good and Im also certain that pain is very horrible.

Well, I received a letter (email actually) that despite all of the “we’re determined to develop this area…” stuff and them asking me to hold on and not get frustrated and “it takes many months to get an area back…” …..Informing me they are pulling the plug on my area and as of the 30th I am no longer employed.

It is frustrating to have let so many other opportunities go, to have put up with all of the slow times to just have them yank it all.

The “you are an exceptional employee” just makes me more angry. Not even a phone call. The email had “Hi Paul! Attached is your layoff letter…” exclamation mark just like that as if it was announcing I had won a prize.

Enough wallowing, I know something else is planned for me.

Please pray for me, I don’t want to go on the unemployment dole…

I called a guy I met a while back and worked with during the Helene cleanup. He does hot shots and told me if I ever was interested in trying it to call him.

I talked with him last night for a while and he has more than he can do, turns down a lot of runs. I think I may sub from him and see how I like it. Money seems to be great even working as a sub.

Keep praying.

We all have those days. Go home. Tell your kid you love them. Then get up and restart tomorrow.

Happened 45 min into a 10 hr day.

I worked till I got a short break and read from the Psalms and prayed.
Focused in on all the good we do and the help we can give and keep going
Better 4 hrs later for sure.

Appreciate the prayers folks

Prayers up, PH. You just need a good trip to the Poopaterrium. :ROFLMAO:

Hey y'all, friday night I ate some lasagna. I knew this was not good, I was in a situation away from home and I did it. I don’t eat bread or pasta and have not in a long time.

About 11pm on the way home I began hurting, right lower abdomen. It was severe at times, off and on Saturday. Didn’t sleep much Saturday night but did get some rest sitting up with my knees pulled up.

Now, like you I am thinking appendicitis. The issue is, it isn’t that low. It is a little higher vertically than my navel. Right side, just outside my nipple line across.

It didn’t begin in my navel area, it isn’t causing nausea, it doesn’t hurt worse with movement. These are classic for appendicitis I read.

Urgent care my Doc runs, opens at 1 today and I am going.

Please pray for me. I sure don’t need to shell out for part of a surgery right now.

Monday night things got awful. Pain was … wow. Throwing up, shakes….

About 10pm I went to the ER at Hugh Chatham in Elkin. They saw me immediately, gave me fluids, fentanyl and zofran. The relief was incredible .

A CT with contrast found I was passing a rather large kidney stone. So better than the suspected gall stone but still far worse than the other 2 kidney stones I had years ago.

I came home about 1am and got some glorious sleep. Still waiting for the stone to come the rest of the way. I have some pain meds in case.

I appreciate prayer.
